Welcome to the October update from the Talentis team….. and we have BIG news for you!
So, over the last couple of months, we’ve talked about a restructuring of our TalentGraph – the datapool you search across when you use the main Talentis search screen. By the time you read this, phase 1 of this process will be complete. We’ve previously explained that the restructuring will allow us to add additional search filters to our Talentis search screen, and present a “fuller” person view in Talentis itself. This is all true, and you’ll start to see the impact of this in the coming weeks. But there’s more.
We’ve also contracted with a new data vendor. We now work with three separate firms to source our data and this third relationship is going to be hugely impactful to our users. Right now, our TalentGraph covers approximately 250 Million profiles. As a result of our new partnership, we will get to c500 Million before the end of the year. Furthermore, you’ll see a dramatic improvement in the freshness of the data.
Every single country will see an increase in numbers. As an example, our US data pool currently includes c76M profiles. Very soon, this will increase to c130M. Brazil will go from c13.5M to twice that number. South Africa from c1M to c5M. France from c7M to c17M. Japan from 500k to almost 2M. We are also going to allow you to use data in new ways. Q4 should see the arrival of our job changers dashboard – an industry first. In short – you’ll tell Talentis about the types of people you are interested in “HR leaders in Manufacturing firms within 100 Miles of Chicago” and we’ll update you on your dashboard every time we spot someone who has changed jobs. Get your business development calls in first!
It’s not just data, however. In our last newsletter, we talked about our “agile methodology” which involves releasing early, listening to, and then acting on feedback – well here’s a good example of that in action. In August, we released our Task Dashboard. Users asked to be able to open profiles without leaving the task dashboard and go backward and forward through the list. We added this function. Users asked for filters – again, we added them. This is all available now.
The next major functionality release will be reporting. Talentis will be offering users the ability to report from inside Word itself. It’s a dramatically better way of working, and we can’t wait for you to see it. The functionality is basically complete, but we are waiting for Microsoft to release the add-in to the Microsoft store. When it’s available, however, we’ll email you with details of how to use Talentis Add-In for Microsoft Word and a quick video showing how it works. Here’s a quick screenshot:
We continue to develop new functionality rapidly. We’ll have much more to tell you in the next newsletter but, for now, let’s just say, ahem… that the Outlook is exciting!
