Since we last wrote, the big update in Talentis is the release of resume parsing. Many of our clients use Talentis to manage the entire search process, and in this context, being able to create records for people who are not on LinkedIn (or who have very basic profiles) is vitally important.
The functionality is available now, with enhancements expected in the coming days. Check this training video in the app.
Our parsing functionality uses the industry leading parsing technology, but has a UI which is unique to us. Ours is based on the concept that – in Talentis – many candidates will have well populated records even before the resume arrives. As a result, we’ve made it really easy to merge existing data with new – users can drag and drop an entire job role from a resume or simply a job description. We’re really proud of it. Upcoming enhancements will make it easier for you to begin the process from inside Outlook or via the Chrome Extension.
Alongside the parsing, we’ve added a host of new fields to the Person record – including skills and education history. We’ll be adding a new overview page soon, to allow you to see all of the key information on a person from within a single screen.
We’ve also launched a beta version of our “AI Engagement tool”. This is designed to help with candidate (and potential client) engagement – it’s in its very early stages currently, but we’ll provide more information next month. The last month also saw us add our new “training hub” with a growing number of training videos, along with a host of small improvements and enhancements.
A number of users have asked us about the well-publicized changes that LinkedIn has made to public profiles. We don’t scrape LinkedIn data and instead license all of the information in our TalentGraph from third party data brokers. We are in constant contact with our partners and we continue to receive regular data refreshes; we’ll shortly also be integrating a new vendor who provides data from a far broader range of sources!
Our developers are now nearing the end of a major technical restructuring project – that should complete in early March. Once this is finalized, you can expect to see a significant increase in our delivery velocity. Upcoming features will range from significant improvements to our company screen to minor user requested enhancements such as “click to dial” along with more options for client reporting. We’ll also be releasing an integration with GatedTalent which will allow Talentis users to access around 2,000 fresh resumes every month!
Watch this space!
As always, thanks for your support,
The Talentis Team
