About The Product & Engineering Team

The Choreograph Product & Engineering team is responsible for building the technology platform that powers the way we create audiences, forecast, price, and optimise cross-channel campaigns. It is a propriety solution which has a fast-expanding user base across markets, agencies, and clients. There is an extensive roadmap of developments that is required to support all the use cases and channels.

The team consists of several specialist areas, all involved in product and system development, these include, product management, project management, data science, technical design, and technical account management.

Intro to the role:

We are looking for a very experienced product leader for our Planning function. The role will work within the Global Product & Engineering team, supporting the GroupM organisation and agencies with the development of planning solutions. It will involve the development and maintenance of a client-centric, cross-media planning strategy that integrates AI, coordinates with data strategy teams, and accounts for various activation mechanisms. The work will be collaborative, working with data science, product development, and planning leads to create unified models, incorporate advanced media planning techniques, and ensure seamless integration into Choreograph/GroupM systems.

The role will be based in Poland and report to the Global SVP of Planning products. The candidate should have extensive experience working within the advertising industry and have a proven track record of conceiving, developing, and deploying complex solutions. The candidate must be particularly collaborative and work well across a matrix organisation, in many markets, and with senior executive management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic media planning software product strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives and vision of Choreograph.
  • Define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and manage product backlogs across the strategic planning product portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with tactical planning team to ensure that there is a joined-up strategy and workflow
  • Establish clear product principles and guidelines for roadmap development, ensuring consistency and alignment across product development teams to turn strategies into deliverables and lead delivery against the roadmap
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of product directors and owners.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation and knowledge sharing.
  • Partner closely and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, data science, enablement, marketing, and operations, to ensure successful product launches and ongoing support.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify opportunities and inform product roadmap decisions.
  • Communicate product strategy, roadmaps, and progress effectively to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain robust product planning processes, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Oversee the product lifecycle management, from ideation to launch and beyond, ensuring smooth execution and continuous improvement.
  • Implement metrics and reporting systems to track product performance, identify areas for optimization, and measure the impact of product initiatives.
  • Champion a data-driven approach to product planning, leveraging analytics and insights to inform decision-making.
  • Represent the Choreograph product vision and strategy at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy and innovation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key external partners, vendors, and thought leaders.
  • Maintain an advanced understanding of media planning techniques for all major media channels
  • Coordinate with activation, insights, and data strategy teams to ensure an end-to-end campaign workflow
  • Track and review third-party in-market planning solutions to assess suitability for partnerships, feature mining, or acquisition options
  • Integrate planning strategy into Choreograph/GroupM system architecture
  • Manage budgets for strategic planning product function

About You:

We are looking for a candidate who can display the following attributes:

  • 10+ years of proven experience in product management, media planning, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing high-performing product teams.
  • Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle and agile methodologies, especially SCRUM
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling products in a fast-paced environment, preferably in advertising and media planning
  • Good experience and understanding of media performance measurement method and solutions and experience working with advertising planning technologies, solutions, and applications across different media types.
  • Demonstrates an advanced understanding of the advertising and AdTech environment outside GroupM
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable product plans.
  • Data-driven decision-maker, comfortable working with data and analytics to inform product strategy and measure success.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex challenges effectively.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams towards a common goal.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences, technical and non-technical and work effectively with cross-functional teams Most work is undertaken in English, for which spoken communications is particularly important for demonstrations and requirements gathering.
