VP of Operations

Joyride Ltd is a privately‑owned startup providing affordable, reliable rental cars for budget‑conscious travelers flying into Denver, Colorado. We source late‑model, well‑maintained vehicles and deliver a streamlined, tech‑enabled rental experience.

Role Summary

We are searching for a seasoned General Manager to take full ownership of day‑to‑day operations, fleet logistics, customer service, and distributed team leadership. You will supervise staff located in both Indonesia and the United States, drive operational excellence, and help position Joyride for technology‑forward growth.

Core Duties

Operations & Fleet

  • Oversee fleet acquisition, maintenance, and disposition
  • Optimize utilization, pricing, and revenue per vehicle
  • Ensure compliance with safety, insurance, and local regulations

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, direct, and mentor remote teams (Indonesia & U.S.)
  • Establish KPIs, review performance, and coach for results
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Customer Experience

  • Maintain service standards that earn 4.8 ★+ average ratings
  • Resolve escalations promptly and professionally

Strategy & Growth

  • Translate company goals into executable operating plans
  • Identify and implement process automations and AI‑driven tools

Financial & Reporting

  • Manage P&L, budgeting, and cost controls
  • Produce weekly and monthly performance dashboards for ownership

Minimum Qualifications

  • MBA (or equivalent master’s degree) and bachelor’s in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field
  • 10+ years total professional experience, including 5+ years in senior management of rental‑car or closely related mobility operations
  • Demonstrated success supervising geographically dispersed teams
  • Fluent, professional English (spoken and written)
  • Working knowledge of data analytics and strong interest in AI‑enabled process improvement

Compensation

  • Base salary: USD 1,000 /month
  • Performance commission: Up to USD 2,000 /month tied to revenue and KPI targets
  • Potential for long‑term partnership/equity opportunities based on sustained success

Work Arrangement & Probation

  • Fully remote; candidates located in Indonesia are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Collaboration across Denver (UTC‑6/‑7) and Western Indonesia (UTC+7) time zones
  • 90‑day probationary period with performance review at day 90
