VP of IT

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of IT to lead our technology initiatives in the retail/consumer products sector. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) and warehouse management systems, with a background in organizations that utilize cutting-edge technology, particularly in artificial intelligence. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of network hardware and a passion for technology modernization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the company’s goals, enhances operational efficiency, and drives technology modernization initiatives.
- ERP & Warehouse Management Systems: Oversee the implementation and optimization of ERP systems and warehouse management solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and improve inventory management.
- Technology Modernization: Lead efforts to modernize existing technology infrastructure, incorporating cloud solutions, AI, and other innovative technologies to enhance business processes and customer experience.
- Network Infrastructure: Manage and optimize the organization’s network hardware, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and maximizing ROI on technology investments.
- Risk Management: Identify potential technology risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring data security and compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience with 5+ years in IT leadership roles specifically in Retail or Consumer Products.
- Proven experience with ERP systems and warehouse management systems.
- Background in organizations known for cutting-edge technology, particularly in AI.
- Strong understanding of network hardware and infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- A natural curiosity for technology trends and a commitment to continuous professional development.
