Unit Head – Fiber/Yarn

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unit/Plant Head – Textile/Fiber to oversee the operations of our textile manufacturing plant. As the Plant Head, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery. This is a full-time role with a focus on plant operations, production management, quality control, and supply chain management. The ideal candidate should have at least 10-20 years of experience in the textile/Fiber industry.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall factory production and operations for the smooth functioning of the Unit.
  • To ensure the achievement of production targets for the unit within the cost, time, and quality norms.
  • To ensure coordination amongst various areas of production, technical, quality, etc.
  • To provide manufacturing expertise to the Production team and ensure implementation of cost reduction/efficiency improvement.
  • To ensure timely preparation of production plans with the available capacity and marketing requirements.
  • To ensure proper upkeep of the manufacturing facility to achieve machine availability and efficiency utilization norms.
  • To ensure regular monitoring of the performance of all departments.
  • Ensure proper utilization of manpower.
  • Maintain plant housekeeping.
  • Candidates from Recycle Fiber industry background are preferable.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a leadership role within the textile industry
  • Proven track record of successfully managing textile plant operations
  • Strong knowledge of plant operations, total production management, and total quality management
  • Experience in supply chain management and vendor coordination
  • Knowledge of textile business processes and market trends
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of home textiles is a plus
