Supervisor: Credit Controller – Europcar – Bruma

Job Description

The purpose of the position is to assist in managing and supporting a team of Credit Controllers, ensuring achievement of performance targets, maximum team efficiencies and collection of payments due to the company; minimizing risk and reducing overdue accounts.

Position Overview

The purpose of the position is to provide administrative support to the Debtors department that achieves team collection objectives and minimizes risk.

Specific Role Responsibilities

Job Outputs:

  • Manage team to meet KPI’s, including but not limited to achievement of collection targets.
  • Manage daily queries with internal & external customers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage all customer communications to ensure effective and professional standards are maintained.
  • Monitor and manage all customer feedback to ensure positive CSI is maintained.
  • Monthly book reviews and performance reviews with team members.
  • Approve authorization from banks for credit card transactions.
  • Ensure daily recons are reviewed and managed within the guidelines set out by standard operating procedures.
  • Provide support and assistance to staff to resolve problems effectively and without delay.
  • Ensure daily, weekly, monthly reports are compiled and submitted timeously.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Experience:

  • 3 years relevant senior debtors/credit control experience.
  • 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity.

Minimum Education:

  • Matric
  • Tertiary qualification in Credit Management or Finance (NQF5+).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Unendorsed drivers’ license.
  • Developed proficiency in MS Excel/Word/Outlook.
  • Industry legislative compliance knowledge e.g. relevant application of NCA etc.
