The position

As a Strategic Purchaser at Roxtec, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement of materials and services that are essential to our sealing solutions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies that prioritize service and quality above all, followed by cost-efficiency. Building strong relationships with suppliers and optimizing our supply chain will be key components of your role.

Key responsibilities

• Development and implementation of procurement strategies: Design and execute strategies that align with Roxtec business objectives, focusing on service, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Supplier relationship management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing performance to ensure the highest standards of service and quality.
• Cost management: Analyze market trends, assess risks, and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising on service and quality.
• Inventory management: Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to optimize inventory levels, reduce waste, and balance service, quality and cost.
• Compliance and risk management: Ensure all procurement activities comply with Roxtec policies, ethical standards and legal requirements. Proactively manage supply chain risks to maintain high service and quality standards.
• Continuous improvement: Lead initiatives to improve purchasing processes and drive efficiencies across the supply chain while maintaining our commitment to service and quality.

Qualifications

• A degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field, or relevant experience in strategic purchasing or procurement.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic purchasing or procurement.
• Fluent in Swedish and English.
• Driver’s license (B).
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinker with a focus on long-term goals.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities, ensuring service and quality are never compromised.
