Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The SR Principal leads the identification, evaluation, and engagement of teaming partners and suppliers during the pre-procurement and active procurement phases. This role is responsible for issuing and managing Request for Proposals (RFPs) to potential subcontractors, conducting comprehensive reviews of supplier responses to ensure compliance with scope and performance expectations, and preparing contract modifications and amendments as required. The SR Principal collaborates with capture and pricing teams to align supplier strategies with solutioning objectives, ensures adherence to FAR/DFAR requirements, and develops SOPs to standardize sourcing processes across the organization. When required, this role participates in industry conferences, market engagement events, and strategic customer engagement events to maintain supplier relationships and enhance market visibility. Additionally, the SR Principal provides guidance on risk mitigation, contract negotiations, and subcontractor compliance, ensuring sourcing decisions support broader growth objectives.

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 15 years of experience in government sourcing, procurement, or subcontract management roles.
- Strong knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and other applicable government regulations.
- Experience developing and executing supplier strategies in support of government contracting.
- Proficiency in generating, managing, and evaluating RFPs and subcontractor proposals.
- Demonstrated experience in supplier engagement and contract negotiation.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics
- Ability to develop SOPs and standardize sourcing processes.
- Experience conducting team reviews of supplier responses to RFPs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proactive leadership with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Comfortable participating in industry conferences, market engagement events, and strategic customer engagement events.
- Ability to provide guidance on risk mitigation strategies and subcontractor compliance.
- Skilled in managing modifications, amendments, and supplier relationships throughout the contract lifecycle.
Preferred
- 20+ years of experience in government sourcing or procurement roles.
- Experience supporting Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs) or similar organizations.
- Prior leadership in supplier strategy for complex, multi-partner government contracts.
- Familiarity with subcontractor/vendor pricing strategy alignment with capture goals.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Job is performed in a remote setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is a home office setting. Travel will be required.

Additional Qualifying Factors
