Job Overview: The Spa Director is responsible for overseeing the successful operation of the Spa facilities, assuring its profitability, operational goals, and that the highest standards of personal luxury service and guest satisfaction are met professionally and courteously following all property policies and procedures. The Spa has 30 treatment rooms, a nail salon, hair salon, two pools and a fitness center. There are 40 + team members you would have direct oversight over. Responsibilities and Duties: Assist with the operations and management of the Spa department. Provide a fair, consistent, and positive work environment for all team members. Maintain consistent and efficient systems of communication between the spa and outside of the spa department. Assist with forecasting revenue and monitoring payroll and expenses on a weekly and monthly basis. Suggest appropriate action to effectively manage profitability. Remain knowledgeable of current industry trends, developing new programs Evaluate the competition’s methods and products to enhance department service and systems. Ensure the facility is clean, and all equipment is in working order. Maintain resort and department high level service standards. Patient and gracious in all guest interactions. Well trained and knowledgeable about spa functions and services. Must be able to provide problem resolution effectively and efficiently with team members and guests. Make sure all team members have proper licenses and certifications to perform their services. Physical Demands: Standing and walking the spa space throughout the working day. Experience: 2 years previously managed a spa team in a hotel environment.
