Why this role?

We’re hiring a Service Sales Development and KAM Director for KONE Asia Pacific, Middle East, and South Africa (APM). This role is pivotal in transforming our sales processes and driving strategic growth. You will develop high-level sales strategies, identify growth opportunities, and shift our sales approach from transactional to a more structured and strategic methodology. Additionally, you will manage high-level Key Account Management (KAM) negotiations and ensure the right KAM structure is in place across frontlines.

You will also coordinate key account activities across the 4 frontlines (FLs) for the 3 business lines (BL) in collaboration with the service offering development, strategy team, finance, and more.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Market/Budget:

  • Conduct competition analysis.

  • Oversee service sales-related processes in budgeting, Medium Term Plan (MTP), and Financial Management Reports (FMRs), from area numbers to personal sales plans.

2. Transformation:

  • Actively participate in group projects/teams to define and implement a high-performing sales structure and the right processes in APM.

  • Ensure sales fundamentals are in place in FLs, including sales manager performance and competency assessment/development plans.

  • Coordinate the implementation of transformation programs and ensure benefits realization.

  • Approximately 30% of the role involves setting strategies and developing accounts, while 70% focuses on sales transformation.

  • Utilize new technologies, including AI.

  • Serve as the Life Cycle cross BL coordinator.

3. Direct Sales Responsibility:

  • Maintain strategic KAM C-level contacts.

  • Support Major Peojects Sales Win plans.

  • Manage service sales incentives programs in FLs and the Sales Champions program.

  • Co-own the Sales community calls, share best practices, and ensure FLs are developing and using effective sales arguments.

Are you the one? We’re looking for someone with:

  • More than 10 years sales experience with proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving targets.

  • Sales experience in B2B and Global KAM management.

  • Excellent strategic thinking and the ability to transform sales processes for the region.

  • Experience working in a matrix setup.

  • Strong collaboration skills.

  • Experience in coaching sales managers or working with L&D to upskill the sales team.

  • Flexibility to navigate complexity
