We are looking for a skilled professional to join our team as a Project Controller & Financial Analyst. This role requires leveraging financial expertise to review and analyze project financials, while preparing detailed reports for Project Managers, Program Managers, and clients. You will apply accounting principles to evaluate, track, and analyze financial data, while offering insightful recommendations to senior management. The position allows for both independent and collaborative work to optimize financial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, track, and report financial information, analyzing revenue, costs, profit, and budget versus actuals.
• Manage project invoicing and prepare detailed backup reports according to contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with Program and Project Managers to maintain budgetary control, assist with cost estimates, estimates to complete (ETCs), project reviews, quarterly and annual reports, and labor category justifications.
• Utilize financial systems and tools to develop and implement innovative methods and procedures to streamline job functions.
• Propose enhancements to tools and financial systems to improve operational efficiency.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and financial and contract management reports in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Support the VP of Finance in preparing external audit materials, financial reports, project and company budgets, and cost proposals.
• Assist with subcontract administration, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, while maintaining accurate and appropriately filed subcontract documents.
• Provide leadership and support to junior employees as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics).
• Minimum of nine years of experience in project controls or financial support within a government contracting environment.
• In-depth knowledge of Federal Government contracts, including T&M, Fixed Price, and Cost Reimbursement contracts.
• Familiarity with FAR and GAAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in budgeting, planning, and trend analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, and experience with other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Commitment to high-quality work and a service-oriented approach.

Compensation And Benefits

The target salary range for this position is (70,000 – )110,000 annually, depending on qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability (LTD), short-term disability (STD), and a 401(k) plan.
