It is an exciting time at Chain IQ and we are looking for a Senior Financial Controller to join our Controlling team in Mumbai. Our ambition is to further grow our existing highly experienced team in order to provide the organization with data-driven insights and act as strategic business partner to create value for our stakeholders. This role is ideal for dynamic, client-focused and forward-thinking individuals that want to make an impact and shape the future of our business.

Role Purpose

This role will manage key Controlling processes and play a critical role in further evolving our Controlling function. The role reports directly into our Head Controlling India and will also work closely with our Head of Strategic Finance & Group Controlling based in Switzerland and stakeholders globally.

This is a contractual / Temporary role with ChainIQ India for 6 months duration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for controlling in the areas of planning (budget, forecast), cost control, revenue recognition, projects, CAPEX, ad hoc reports and analysis.
  • Active contribution to monthly closing activities (revenue, costs, intercompany transactions)
  • Preparation, maintenance and timely delivery of key month-end reports
  • Responsibility for global 3rd Party Revenue as revenue recognition controller
  • Active involvement in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
  • Conducting in-depth engagement profitability reviews to support decision making.
  • Driving improvements of processes, enhancing accuracy and efficiency
  • Driving change initiatives to improve insight-generation and reporting capabilities.
  • Contribution to ad-hoc management reports to CFO, GEB and BoD
  • Close collaboration with Head Strategic Finance & Group Controlling, Accounting, CFO and local project managers as Business Partner

Requirements

  • Successfully completed bachelor’s degree in finance or economics plus CA or ICWAI is preferable.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in Controlling in an international environment; good understanding of the professional services industry is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in using ERP systems, reporting, analysis and planning tools (SAP), Excel
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with various stakeholders.
  • High level of performance even in dynamic situations
  • Proactive and independent work style with a great sense of responsibility
  • Keen interest in developing a more strategic and business-oriented approach to Finance.
