Key Responsibilities:

  • The incumbent will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of sports events across V18’s Linear TV & Digital platforms. The present portfolio encompasses (Olympics, Paralympics, BCCI -series -India cricket , Cricket South Africa series, SA20 South Africa’s domestic T20 league , Ultimate Table Tennis and some domestic leagues ). The candidate is expected to oversee the creation and execution of marketing strategies, drive event awareness, persuasion to watch and tune ins for the event
  • The candidate is expected to collaborate closely with internal teams (Sales, traffic, social, OAP and internal creative teams pr, media and content teams), and external partners (social agency, creative agency) to drive viewership, engagement, and loyalty for the Sports content around the events allotted
  • This role is ideal for someone who wants to blend a passion for sports with marketing expertise in a dynamic broadcasting environment
  • Event / Property Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies to enhance the events, properties positioning in the sports TG
  • Campaign Management: Lead the creation and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns that promote live sports events, shows, and digital content
  • Market Research: Work with Insights and analytics teams for market analysis to identify trends, audience behavior, and competitive activity. Leverage insights to optimize marketing strategies and event positioning
  • Content Coordination: Collaborate with content and programming teams to ensure communication consistency across all content, from live events to studio shows
  • Audience Engagement: Develop initiatives to increase fan engagement through interactive campaigns, digital marketing, and social media outreach
  • Sponsorship & Partnerships: Work with the sales team to identify and leverage partnership opportunities that align with the event and drive viewership
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure that all communications adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a unified look and tone across all channels (TV, social media, digital platforms, print)
  • Performance Analysis: Analyse, Monitor and report on campaign performance, viewer ratings, and brand KPIs to refine strategies and improve ROI
  • Collaboration: Liaise with creative, media, PR, and digital teams to coordinate marketing efforts and align messaging
  • Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and sports viewership patterns to innovate brand activations and engagement strategies
  • Drive Viewership: Reach & Watch Time metrics, Marketing Strategy & Communication Development along with execution, Project Management, Analytics, CAC improvement metrics and Budget Management metrics

Who Should Apply For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. Master’s degree preferred
  • 8-10 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or a related role, preferably in sports, media, or entertainment
  • Strong understanding of sports marketing, media consumption trends, and digital platforms
  • TV & Digital metrics understanding
  • Proven track record of developing & leading successful marketing campaigns and brand strategies
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze data and derive insights for strategy optimization
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Creative mindset with a passion for sports and storytelling
