Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Project Management (Level 3). This position will be located onsite in Palmdale, CA or Rancho Bernardo, CA.

Essential Functions

Our Project Managers manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Basic Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree a minimum of 6 years or 4 years of experience with a Masters Degree of any/combined experience in the following: Supply Chain; Project Management, Program Management; Program Scheduling; Program Cost Analysis; Subcontracts Administration, Procurement or other related GSC field OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with at least 10 years of experience in Supply Chain; Project Management, Program Management; Program Scheduling; Program Cost Analysis; Subcontracts Administration, Procurement or other related GSC field
• Must have Experience with SAP, ERP, MRP, or similar systems
• Must have an Active DOD Secret Clearance, as well as ability to obtain a Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Business management, supply chain, MBA, or other relevant graduate education
• Knowledge of EVMS (NG EVMS certification or equivalent preferred)
• Control Account Management (CAM) experience

Salary Range: $88,700 – $133,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
