Principal Consultant

POSITION SUMMARY The Principal Consultant will oversee operations for clients in specific verticals at Cardone Ventures, with a focus on ensuring growth targets are being met. This key leadership role will be instrumental in driving their revenue growth and maximizing the value of our ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of financial and business acumen to drive sustainable growth and create mutual value for our organization and our clients. OBJECTIVES Preserve client retention rate within assigned portfolio and meet new targets, as identified through organizational annual planning Lead a team of functional experts to deploy, track, and iterate the identified strategies Leverage monthly financial reporting to provide strategic recommendations to protect client profitability Analyze a client’s revenue streams, gross margin rates and profitability by product in an effort to devise forward-looking strategies and areas of opportunity Provide development and coaching to Marketing, Operations and Finance Advisors to work cohesively as a unit and elevate their strategy Oversee strategic decisions made by our team from a finance, marketing, and operational standpoint to ensure clients have an intentional growth plan Address any questions and provide support as a Subject Matter Expert for SBU team members who are facing roadblocks with a client’s growth strategy Monitor department metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, workflows, and productivity. Serve as the next point of escalation beyond the Advisors for any client concerns that relate to their experience in the SBU Conduct recurring leadership development conversations, developing/coaching team members including bi weekly 1:1s, completing call shadow forms for each team member monthly, effectively utilizing incentive payout, and giving performance feedback. COMPETENCIES Ability to analyze a client’s revenue streams, gross margin rates and profitability by product in an effort to devise forward-looking strategies and areas of opportunity Can help make decisions for the client based on their margin rates, labor rates, cash position and financial obligations Understanding of month-end closing cycle and can walk a client through the checklist Knowledge of basic accounting principles to support clients who may need additional support Understands business advisory and strategic planning for a large portfolio of clients Understanding of cash to accrual concepts, the benefits of each, and the impact on moving from one to the other Prior experience collaborating with executive leadership, department heads, and cross-functional teams to align operational strategies with broader business objectives Ability to connect with clients and re instill confidence during escalation conversations Proven track record of success in driving business growth and expanding client relationships across the SBU In-depth knowledge of HR, Finance, Marketing, and Sales to understand how the various functions impact one another and to provide strategic guidance Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 10+ year’s experience in a Finance role Prior experience in a client-facing position PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk or computer COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY As an equal opportunity employer committed to meeting the needs of a multigenerational and multicultural workforce, Cardone Ventures recognizes that a diverse staff, reflective of our community, is an integral and welcome part of a successful and ethical business.
