Import Traffic Chief

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train to Traffic assistants who are part of yourstaff.
  • Supervision of activities related to compliance, development, and implementation of established procedures for each of them. Updating those already established.
  • Support responses to requirements from different government agencies related to the activity.
  • Supervise the maintenance of physical and electronic import archives.
  • Supervise the proper functioning of the Aranxel and Business Customs Declaration systems by contacting support personnel when necessary, as well as proposing improvements to both systems.
  • Conduct internal audits of import records to determine the company’s situation and develop necessary corrective action plans to rectify any irregularities found.
  • Customs Planning, involving critical areas to determine the best option regarding the logistics route of goods and tax payment.
  • Supervise the traffic and logistics of imported goods.
  • Regularize variations in the receipt of goods for their proper disposition.
  • Authorize payments for freight and customs expenses.
  • Receipt, unloading, and monthly reconciliation of the Data Stage Glosa deliverable every quarter to the corporate office.
  • Annual reports on foreign trade audited against the Data Stage Glosa to ensure compliance.
  • Generation of reports on freight, taxes, and expenses paid for the import of goods.
  • Supervise compliance with the IMMEX program requirements, support with reporting to INEGI.
  • Ongoing training regarding changes established by Laws, regulations, and rules related to Foreign Trade and ensuring the implementation and communication of any relevant changes.
  • Constant contact with the corporate legal and compliance department to keep compliance with national and international regulations up to date.
  • Ensure that quality, safety, and productivity standards are met in a disciplined manner that motivates staff to maintain an optimal level of work and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Administration, or related fields. Minimum 5 years of experience in ground, sea, and air imports.
