The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a threat intelligence strategy and framework that aligns with the company’s business objectives and risk appetite.
  • Oversee the collection, processing, analysis and dissemination of threat intelligence from various sources, including open source, commercial, internal and partner feeds.
  • Oversee and drive a threat hunting program that proactively identifies and mitigates unknown or emerging threats using advanced tools and techniques.
  • Manage and enhance the insider threat program that detects and prevents malicious or unauthorized activities by insiders, such as employees, contractors, vendors or partners.
  • Provide timely and actionable threat intelligence and threat hunting reports and briefings to senior management, stakeholders and customers.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external teams, such as security operations, incident response, forensics, vulnerability management, risk management, compliance, legal and law enforcement.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of threat intelligence, threat hunting and insider threat analysts and engineers.
  • Foster a high performance, high trust and open and inclusive environment
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends, developments and best practices in threat intelligence, threat hunting and insider threat domains.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, cybersecurity, information systems, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years of experience in threat intelligence, threat hunting and/or insider threat roles.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing threat intelligence, threat hunting or insider threat teams and projects.
  • Expert knowledge of threat intelligence frameworks, standards, tools and platforms, such as MITRE ATT&CK, STIX/TAXII, MISP, ThreatConnect, etc.
  • Expert knowledge of threat hunting methodologies, tools and techniques, such as hypothesis generation, data collection, analysis, validation and remediation.
  • Expert knowledge of insider threat detection and prevention strategies, tools and techniques, such as user and entity behavior analytics, data loss prevention, etc.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex and technical information to various audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and explain threat intelligence, threat hunting and insider threat findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Knowledge and experience in applying threat services in both on-prem and cloud locations
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCTI, GCIH, GCFA, GNFA, GCIA, CEH, etc. are preferred.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $183K – $225K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
