Head of School

  • The Head of School (Blended Curriculum; Nigeria/British) is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the international primary school.
  • This includes fostering a safe, inclusive, and academically challenging environment, ensuring curriculum standards, managing staff, and building strong relationships with students, parents, and the broader school community.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management:

  • Provide visionary and strategic leadership to uphold the school’s mission and values.
  • Lead the implementation of a Blendedcurriculum (Nigeria/British).
  • Supervise and support teaching and administrative staff.
  • Promote professional development opportunities and staff well-being.

Academic Excellence:

  • Oversee curriculum planning, teaching standards, and student assessment.
  • Monitor and evaluate academic performance and implement improvement strategies.
  • Encourage innovation in teaching and learning practices.

Student Development and Well-being:

  • Promote a student-centered culture that supports academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Ensure effective safeguarding policies and procedures are in place.
  • Maintain discipline and a positive school climate.

Communication and Community Engagement

  • Foster effective communication between the school, families, and the wider community.
  • Represent the school positively in public and at events.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and transparency.

Administrative and Financial Oversight

  • Manage school operations, resources, and budgets effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, health, and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and school improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Master’s degree in Education
  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, with at least 3 in a leadership role.
  • Teaching qualification and relevant leadership certifications.
  • Experience in an international school setting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with international curricula (British, Cambridge,).
