YOUR TEAM
With the SDV Hub, we are venturing out and creating software-defined vehicles (SDV) of the future that are transforming the way our Group conceptualizes, designs, and engineers our vehicles. Together with experts from Audi and Volkswagen, the SDV Hub will support the development of an SDV architecture and software platform that will enable the ecosystem in a collaborative and fast-growing environment. For the core of the SDV Hub, we are looking to work with technical experts across all levels that are ready to rethink the way we do software for our future cars.

The ML Engineering, as part of the SDV Hub, team focuses on designing and developing a robust, scalable AI software stack that supports diverse AI use cases, enhancing customer experiences across various VW Group brands. This team collaborates closely with engineering groups in SoC, hardware, middleware, and UX. The goal is to ensure our systems have the required compute capabilities, flexibility, and extensibility to support emerging hardware and sensor technologies, delivering a user experience that adapts to evolving mobility needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Lead and manage a team of AI & ML engineers, providing mentorship and guidance
• Develop and fine-tune Generative AI models, CV models, and ML algorithms for automotive applications
• Implement and utilize Agentic Frameworks such as AutoGen, Langchain, and Langsmith
• Work on Retrieval Augmented Generation and Knowledge Graph integration
• Train and optimize computer vision and machine learning models
• Deploy AI models on cloud platforms and on-device, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into the automotive ecosystem
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and automotive technologies

WHO YOU ARE

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in AI and machine learning, with a focus on Generative AI, CV, and ML with experience in automotive industry
• Proficiency in PyTorch, TensorFlow, and other machine learning frameworks with strong programming skills in Python, with some experience in Java and Android development
• Knowledge of on-device techniques such as quantization and familiarity with multimodal large language models
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Experience with cloud-based technologies and model deployment
• Proven leadership and team management skills with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
