Job Description
Your Role:
The Head of Investments Compensation will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation programs for the firm’s investment teams. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of incentive compensation designs, market trends, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be able to manage complex modeling and data visualization, lead a team and have strong executive presence. This role will be an influential member of the Total Rewards team, with significant influence over the design and alignment of compensation programs that are critical to the firm’s strategic priorities and objectives.
You will be responsible for:

Compensation Strategy: Develop, implement and manage comprehensive compensation strategies for the Investment organizations, which align with the business goals while ensuring competitive and fair compensation.

Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to ensure compensation packages are competitive and aligned with cutting-edge practices across the traditional and alternative asset management industry.

Program Management: Oversee the administration of compensation programs, including base pay, cash incentives, and long-term incentives.

Compliance: Ensure all compensation practices are consistently administered and compliant with company policies and federal/state/local regulations.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, HR, and finance teams to align compensation strategies with business goals.

Data Analytics: Leverage analytics and reporting tools to compile and deliver reports on compensation trends, program effectiveness, and budget impact to inform and support strategic decision making.

Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of compensation professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
The experience and skills you bring:

10 + years of experience in compensation, with a proven track record in leadership roles.

At least 5+ years of experience in investment compensation plans/design, distribution/sales incentive compensation design and/or carried interest/co-investment compensation designs

Preferred to have advanced degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience working for a publicly held company with an understanding of the accounting, tax, and legal requirements preferred

Previous experience in financial services, asset management, and private markets preferred

Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Deep understanding of compensation structures and market trends.

Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.

Strong stakeholder management skills.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
The salary range for this position in New York City is $220,000 – $225,000 / year. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location.
