What You’ll Do
- From a commercial perspective, support the Associate Director of Partnerships and Partner Contract owners with contract renegotiations and existing partner tender processes.
- As required, support the development and/or assessment of new Partnerships or Alliances opportunities in collaboration with the business unit owners of Partnerships and Alliances.
- Support the onboarding of New Partners. Support business unit owners with new and existing Partner contract & commercial negotiations as directed by the Associate Director of Partnerships.
- With the endorsement of Business Unit owners and the Associate Director of Partnerships, drive business case proposals for enhancing Partnerships and/or Alliances performance from a commercial and/or operational perspective.
- Lead and manage key operational resources that support Partnerships and Alliances operational activities across Sales, Service and Claims, including key continuous improvement initiatives and customer complaints management.
- Support the Associate Director of Partnerships & Alliances with enhancing performance, governance and risk frameworks and operating rhythm frameworks.
- Work collaboratively with business owners to drive improvements in sales and customer experience outcomes as required.
- Support Executive level business proposals and reporting.Support the Associate Director of Partnerships & Alliances and business unit leaders in the prioritisation and delivery of key Partnership & Alliances initiatives as required (e.g. through supporting business casing/opportunity sizing, concept workshop participation etc).
- Perform other reasonable and relevant activities as requested from time to time to meet operational requirements.
- Lead and manage the Commercial & Optimisation Team performance to support the Partnerships & Alliances Department ability to achieve its aspirational growth targets and key strategic objectives.
- Provide recommendations on the Department budget and deliver financial objectives within the approved allocations.
- Maintain the collective capability and capacity required to meet current and emerging needs by proactively managing and developing talent in accordance with the Company’s workforce, succession and performance management frameworks.
- Maximise service delivery through the optimisation of available resources based on effective capacity planning, support of commercial management of partners/suppliers and collaboration with internal partners. Where required, effectively negotiate with stakeholders and internal partners to prioritise and deliver competing projects and initiatives.
- Fully implement, and ensure the Department operates within the Company’s risk management, governance, compliance and accountability frameworks.
What Experience You’ll Bring
- 7-10 years financial services experience
- Experience in supporting large Partner pursuits, contract renegotiations and managing large Partnerships at senior levels
- Formal qualifications in a relevant area such as a Degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance or Analytics.
- Previous experience in a mid to senior level commercial management role, with a demonstrated ability to develop sound commercial strategy and deliver operating plans to achieve financial KPIs and growth.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively coach, lead, engage and develop a small team to create a high-performance culture.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of the insurance industry and the commercial settings that underpin the partnership models
