Global Marketing Director-GENEX

As the GENEX Global Marketing Director , you will have the opportunity to develop, execute, and manage the marketing strategies and initiatives that support our commercial business across our four global commercial regions. This role will focus on building and reinforcing cooperative brand awareness, strengthening member & customer engagement, powering demand generation, and executing innovative portfolio marketing strategies that result in business growth across key markets, both retail and wholesale.

You will lead and mentor the GENEX Brand Marketing Team to develop impactful marketing initiatives/strategies that will drive our business trajectory. Our ideal candidate is a dynamic and results-driven senior-level marketing leader with a deep understanding of agricultural cooperatives, cooperative-to-cooperative partnerships, global markets, and expertise in both traditional and digital marketing channels.

Areas of Focus

Develop and Execute GENEX’s Global Marketing Strategy:

  • Own the strategic marketing communications planning process that contribute to sales and market share growth across our North America, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC Regions
  • Strategize, conceptualize, and drive the execution of global marketing campaigns and initiatives that drive members & customers deeper into the GENEX sales funnel
  • Develop and manage the GENEX global marketing budget in collaboration with strategic partners
  • Define and report on marketing benchmarking and KPIs
  • Implement a feedback matrix with customers and regions

Brand Management and Positioning:

  • Creation, development, and evaluation of execution and impact of global marketing strategies
  • Build strategic support for the GENEX global wholesale partners to enhance their connection to our GENEX brand
  • Steward the GENEX brand identity
  • Own the development and evolution of the GENEX global brand guidelines
  • Lead efforts to enhance brand visibility and perception

Demand Generation and Lead Acquisition:

  • Strategize, design, build and optimize lead generation campaigns
  • Work collaboratively with commercial team leadership on sales marketing strategies

Digital Marketing and Innovation:

  • Collaborate with the URUS Marketing team on digital marketing strategies which focus on the customer journey
  • Own the global website design, UX and platform for all GENEX retail country websites
  • Stay up to date with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies, ensuring the regional marketing strategy integrates innovative solutions

Market Research and Insights:

  • Conduct ongoing market research to gather insights into member & customer preferences, emerging trends, and competitor activities across our global commercial regions
  • Shape GENEX’s long-term commercial and brand strategy into actionable business recommendations

Global Marketing Stakeholder Leadership & Management:

  • Engage, persuade, build relationships, and earn trust across the URUS matrix organization
  • Lead the development of co-marketing partnerships with key industry partners
  • Create and demonstrate strategic marketing initiatives that turn customers and employees into Brand advocates

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of marketing professionals
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, innovation and accountability
  • Support a continuous learning and development environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • 10+ years of Marketing experience with at least 5 years focused on conceptualizing and leading strategic marketing initiatives
  • 10+ years of people leadership experience; proven ability to lead and motivate a high-performing marketing team.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, approximately 40%
  • Proven experience in driving successful marketing strategies on a global scale, preferably in the global agricultural industry, with knowledge of cooperative business and member engagement models, including large-scale, progressive farm operations
  • Strong experience leading the strategy and execution in both digital and traditional marketing channels
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering ROI-focused marketing campaigns
  • Expertise in using analytics and CRM tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce)
