Who we are looking for…

FH seeks an experienced Executive Assistant (EA) will provide executive, administrative, and development support to the President/CEO and Board of Directors. This executive assistant will be a strategic thought partner to the President/CEO as they organize and coordinate executive outreach and external relations. The qualified CGO will have at least 5 years of experience supporting C-Level executives, preferably a CEO or President in a global organization. The qualified candidate will also have experience working with board members and preparing for board meetings. A successful candidate will have the following:

  • A vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a Christian commitment to serving the poor, and in full agreement with FH’s Christian beliefs.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect an ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Service focus – dedicated to working with a broad range of people, including major donors, Board members, Executive leaders, and others.
  • Business sense – has a strong business sense and can decipher priorities and make sound judgment calls when needed.
  • Outstanding analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, coupled with an ability to translate ambiguous ideas or issues into well-defined solutions with a track record for delivering results.

What you’ll do…

As the EA, you will:

Executive Support

  • Communicates directly and on behalf of the President and CEO, with Board members, donors, global FH affiliate leaders, the FHI Federation, FH Association, program partners, and other external relationships with individuals and organizations., on matters related to CEO’s initiatives.
  • Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the President, including those sensitive or confidential.
  • Coordinates with other executive assistants assigned when additional support is needed at peak times, including but not limited to, budget deadlines, Board meetings, leadership meetings, special events, etc.

Board Support

  • Oversees the process of scheduling, assembling, and distributing the Board Book prior to each scheduled meeting.
  • Assists board members with travel arrangements, lodging, and meal planning as needed.
  • Maintains discretion and confidentiality in relationships with all board members.
  • Adhere to compliance with applicable rules and regulations set in bylaws regarding board and board committee matters, including advance distribution of materials before meetings.
  • Participates in board meetings to take minutes on behalf of the board secretary.
