Job Summary

Support the Product Owner & team with the activities required for reducing risk and sustaining the low-risk environment in relation to Privacy, Data Quality, Record Keeping and Data Sovereignty risks. These activities include but are not limited to:
  • Successful and timely Delivery of associated Risk Treatment Plans (RTPs) / Remediations
  • Implementation of the Standards in BAU
  • Execution and maintenance of the controls / frameworks required for compliance with the Standards, regulations and sustenance of the low-risk environment
  • Collaboration with Central Data Office (CDO) and Data Shield Programme (DSP) to roll out centralised enablers that aids with risk reduction and/or Standards Implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy*

This role is positioned to support the Product Owner and broader Data Risk Squad in enabling Client Coverage and Financial Markets to achieve compliance with the Bank’s Data Management Standards and associated regulations.

Business*

• Develop a deep understanding of the current state of data, processes, and systems for CIB CC and FM

  • Drive completion of key milestones for CC and FM in accordance with the data risk objectives, which may include but is not limited to, delivering the Risk Treatment Plan, completing the required remediations and implementing the relevant Standards in BAU
  • Performs Data Discovery exercise for all the Data standards and complete mandatory artefacts (Data Discovery Templates, Data Flowchart, Data Inventory etc.)
  • Performs Gap Analysis of current state against the requirements in the Data Standards
  • Coordinate reviews and sign-off with relevant stakeholders such as Group Process Owner (GPO), Country Process Owner, Risk Framework Owner (RFO), Operational Risk (OR) and more.
  • Conduct and Lead Business Impact Assessments on the business and process from the tools/enablers that the Central Data Office (CDO) team delivers to CIB CC and FM.
  • Design Target Operating Models to conform to Data Standards, identity business solutions to meet the requirements in a complex process and technology environments, validate impact assessment & drive implementation plan
  • Deliver key Change Management outcomes including Operational design, Communications, Learning, Operational Readiness & Operational Guidance to embed Data Management Standards for end user communities
  • Effectively engage senior business stakeholders across geographies -Strong communication skills and ability to tailor complex content to stakeholder audiences
  • Build strong and effective relationships with programme and business counterparts
  • Proven experience in co-ordination of multiple dependencies and stakeholders in complex, large scale deployment environments
  • Manage team of business analysts to ensure that deliverables are completed timely and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Processes*

  • Scope is limited to CIB CC and FM processes
  • Work in Enterprise agile environment and guide the squads to define and deliver business value
  • Lead squads to deliver business requirements, functional design, journeys design, configuration, testing, training and implementation of the relevant changes / systems
  • Provide guidance and support to the Squads to ensure consistency in the delivery approach & artefacts and in alignment to the Standards
  • Set up and manage Key Performance Indicators / Metrics (KPIs / KPMs)
  • Complete and/or facilitate the completion of key milestones for CC and FM as planned in the Risk Remediation / Treatment Plan.
  • Implement mechanisms to facilitate the early identification and prompt resolution of risks, including escalating these risks to the required forums for support
  • Support the design of the Target Operating Model, Business Impact Assessment and implementation of the tools / enablers that the Central Data Office (CDO)/associated team delivers to CIB CC and FM
  • Perform feasibility and options analysis for implementing all the standards across all stages of planning and execution
  • Validate deliveries through success metrics, after deployment to ensure they meet all operational and business requirements and drive maintenance and problem resolution, as required
  • Stay abreast of new vendor platform releases and functionality, and where required suggest and drive implementation of the same where there is value-add for the Business
  • Work with relevant Vendors and Professional Services firms to source for suitable resources who can be engaged to augment staff capacity and support Book of Work delivery
  • Master and gain in-depth understanding of the Data Conduct standards to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of Data Privacy, Data Quality, Data Sovereignty and Record Keeping Book of Work (BoW) for CIB CC and FM
  • Liaise with the Risk Framework and Standards Owner from the 2nd line to obtain requisite clarification to operationalize the standards for CIB CC and FM
  • Facilitate the simplification and/or operationalisation of the Group standards and accompanying Country Addenda / Schedules (where applicable) for CIB CC and FM

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management*

  • Work closely with the Product Owner of the Data Risk Squad to drive reduction of the Data risks and monitor all major risk issues and concentrations. Where appropriate, perform the upwards escalations of key risks, issues and/or challenges encountered.

  • Supports the setup and/or maintenance of the relevant governance forums

Skills and Experience

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10+ years’ experience working in Business Transformation &/or Process/Tech improvement/deployment or consulting for Financial Institutions.
  • Knowledge of Banking processes is required.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiating skills with experience in managing various stakeholder groups
  • Experienced in developing, socialising and implementing new operating models across businesses and functions
  • Experience with reviewing, understanding and mapping complex business processes including the respective controls/elements in those processes.
  • Experience with designing solutions for existing processes, in collaboration with technology.
  • Create comprehensive documentation to support transformational change: business/functional requirement documents, process flow diagrams, training materials, roadmaps, etc.
  • Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and work with minimal management oversight
  • Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation
  • Strong prioritisation and organizing skills matched with the ability to manage stress, time, and change effectively
  • Strong problem solving / analytical skills
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to identify areas of focus for solution design and implementation
  • Ability to create effective work relationships across functions & borders
