RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Duties
- Lead Value Analysis Team: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing value analysis team responsible for evaluating and optimizing the selection of medical supplies, equipment, and services, ensuring that clinical needs are met while identifying cost-effective alternatives.
- Medical Equipment Planning: Develop and manage a capital equipment program to include all aspects of equipment identification, request for quotes, purchasing, and life cycle planning
- Product Category Management: Oversee product category management, ensuring that the right products are selected, standardized, and implemented across the healthcare system. Focus on product rationalization and standardization to streamline inventory and improve cost efficiency.
- Collaboration with Clinicians: Work closely with clinical teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to understand their needs and identify opportunities for product standardization and clinical supply optimization.
- Supply Chain Optimization expansion: Lead the expansion of supply chain operations to new and existing clinics. This includes implementing existing supply chain processes and infrastructure, ensuring that supply chain functions support clinical operations seamlessly, and ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented.
- Cost Savings Initiatives: Drive product standardization, renegotiate vendor contracts, and identify alternative products or solutions that lead to measurable cost savings across the system.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with clinical, financial, and operational departments to implement initiatives that ensure efficient supply chain operations while meeting clinical and budgetary goals.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to assess supply chain performance, track cost savings, and measure product utilization. Provide insights to senior leadership regarding supply chain optimization opportunities and overall system performance.
- Contract and Vendor Management: Oversee supplier negotiations and contracts to ensure competitive pricing, high-quality products, and strong vendor relationships. Monitor vendor performance and resolve any supply-related issues.
Team Development & Training: Build and maintain a strong, capable supply chain optimization team. Ensure ongoing professional development and knowledge-sharing opportunities to keep the team aligned with best practices and emerging trends in healthcare supply chain management.

- Develops performance indicators for all critical operations, evaluates outcomes and provides timely feedback.
- Create a supportive environment for supply chain staff development and the delivery of supply chain solutions.
- Evaluates assigned staff performance and competency, providing direct feedback
- Oversees employees work; appraises employee productivity/efficiency and handles employee complaints and grievances within the Supply Chain Optimization team
- Expertise in product category management, with the ability to negotiate and manage vendor relationships effectively.
- Strong experience in supply chain operations, particularly in multi-hospital and clinic settings.
- Strong analytical and data-driven approach to problem-solving, with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to manage and inspire cross-functional teams, including clinicians, operational staff, and supply chain professionals.
- Strong collaboration skills with clinical teams to ensure that supply chain solutions meet both operational and clinical requirements
- Knowledge of healthcare supply chain regulations, industry standards, and emerging trends.
REQUIRED SKILLS
A minimum of 5 years experience in working within a healthcare supply chain team across a multi-hospital system is highly preferred.
