Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Temporary Structures to lead our temporary structures sector. This role will oversee business development, operations, client relations, and project execution for temporary structures. The ideal candidate has a strong background in temporary structures, industrial services, or construction logistics, and can effectively balance client needs with operational execution and profitability.
Compensation: $95,000 – $105,000+ base plus bonus
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end project planning and execution, including site assessments, permitting, installation, and removal.
- Coordinate with logistics, field crews, and safety managers to ensure seamless operations and compliance with industry standards.
- Optimize inventory utilization and equipment lifecycle management.
- Market Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in industrial sectors such as oil & gas, utilities, manufacturing, and large-scale construction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, contractors, and procurement officers.
- Develop strategic partnerships with vendors and suppliers to support scalable deployments
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and grow a high-performing team of project coordinators and field staff.
- Provide training and support for team development and performance improvement.
- Financial Oversight:
- Set and manage departmental budgets, revenue targets, and margin goals.
- Monitor KPIs and produce regular performance and forecasting reports for executive leadership.
- Risk and Compliance:
- Ensure projects adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and client-specific compliance requirements.
- Lead risk assessment processes and implement continuous improvement practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in temporary structures
- Proven leadership in operations
- Strong understanding of industrial job site protocols and regulatory requirements
- Experience managing multimillion-dollar accounts and complex projects
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel to client sites and project locations as needed
Preferred Experience
- Background in tent, structure, or modular building rentals
- Knowledge of OSHA and relevant safety standards
- Experience in coordinating with industrial construction sites
