Director of Operations | Hospitality

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel and attends and participate in all strategic, senior level and operational meetings and events.
  2. Provide leadership and management for all operational hotel personnel: directly for three key management personnel and indirectly for management, non-management personnel.
  3. Recruit, select, train, coach, counsel, recognize and retain direct reports.
  4. Stay informed of current trends and industry best practices within area of responsibility. Communicate important and pertinent information to management and colleagues.
  5. Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue through all points of sale.
  6. Monitor and justify expenditures by departments to ensure budgetary guidelines are met.
  7. Deal directly with guest complaints and issues to resolution.

 

Qualifications:

  2. Minimum 4 years previous experience as Director of Operations or similar position
  3. Degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management or relevant field.
  4. Ability to handle data with confidentiality
  5. Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
  6. Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
  7. Physical demands: sedentary work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
