Position Summary
We are seeking a Director of Marketing to lead the Marketing and Product Strategy for Sensience globally. This role will be the face of Sensience both externally and internally and will lead a team responsible for brand management, market research, marketing communications, and marketing operations. The incumbent will lead building a team that prioritizes innovation while balancing operational excellence to accelerate business growth.
They must have strong customer relationship management (CRM) experience in order to connect with our global Sales team.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead Sensience marketing strategy and team to develop customer focused, short- and long-term cross product family growth strategies focused on both organic and inorganic growth priorities
- Construct scalable marketing process including lead routing, lead scoring, campaign operations and ROI measurement, content automation to drive efficiencies across marketing / sales functions.
- Lead product strategy with product management team and partner with sales operations to align go to market strategy, improve funnel conversions, and enable sales hunters to achieve needed revenue growth
- Establish best practices for marketing technology infrastructure by partnering with IT leader on database/lead management, data integrity, system governance and integrations with both internal and external parties
- Manage collection and analysis data in support of growth strategies. Conduct in depth quantitative and qualitative research into customers, competitors, and the marketplace. Create reports presentation and actions based on data
- Create a robust contact database segmented by customer type, product strategy, and enables scaled selling
- Lead a marketing communications team to develop effective customer and market communications strategies and to execute those strategies including:
- Develop messaging strategies for each industry to better position Sensience as thought leaders in our served industries
- Maintain social media platforms and content
- Develop and deliver industry and product communications strategies (channels, frequency, approach)
- Evaluate tools and systems to improve lead generation via marketing communications tools (CRM campaigns, e-mail marketing, etc.)
- Develop metrics, tools, and processes to improve delivery of traditional marketing communication materials (e.g. sales literature, product brochures, trade shows, web materials, etc.)
- Effectively Plan and attend trade show events and industry publications
- Manage all Public Relations and Crisis Management Media communications.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related business field (MBA preferred) with a minimum of five (5) years of marketing leadership in manager or above position
- 10+ years progressive experience in specialty areas, such as marketing, market research, sales, product management, strategic planning, business development
- Excellent analytical abilities; demonstrated track record of using market research At least 5 years experience in managing and influencing globally diverse teams
- Industry experience in HVAC, Appliance, Transportation and/or Industrial markets required
- Technical knowledge of marketing tools, systems, and dataflows required. This including proficiency in SQL, HTML familiarity with Marketing / CRM platforms, and website/social medial tools
- Demonstrated understanding of email marketing stand processes, technologies, and regulations
- Experience working in a B2B high volume manufacturing company preferred
- Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Big picture strategic thinker
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functionally without direct line authority
- Overall business savvy, market expertise, and operational understanding
- Excellent communicator and multi-tasker
- Domain knowledge in one or more key markets: HVAC, Automotive, Appliance, Industrial, a plus
- Fluent in English. Fluency in Spanish and/or Mandarin preferred.
- Ability to travel at least 20% of the time
