Job Description The Director of Field Marketing is a key role at Omni Hotels & Resorts that will build a field marketing organization that supports and executes all facets of hotel and regional marketing across the brand. This leader will collaborate closely with leaders across the Marketing function (brand management, marketing, digital, communications, CRM/loyalty), as well as the regional Operations, Finance, Sales and Revenue teams to develop and implement local and regional marketing plans that drive awareness and generate revenue. The Director of Field Marketing will lead a team of Field Marketing Managers and be responsible for developing and implementing turnkey marketing solutions with an emphasis on the digital ecosystem that drive hotel revenue and business performance as well as providing subject matter expertise/training. This role will report into the Vice President, Marketing. Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of field marketers responsible for local property marketing across North America. Guide and direct on-property marketing leaders and proactively/reactively identify marketing tools/strategies to solve their business challenges. Serve as the marketing subject matter expert for hotels/resorts and outlets, on how best to use innovative marketing, programming and digital strategies to drive leisure and group room nights, as well on-property amenities and outlets (golf, spa, F&B, retail, etc.). Collaborate with marketing, operations, finance, revenue and sales to shape promotional calendars (factoring in demand patterns, pace, forecasts and outlets) incorporating holidays/seasonality, limited time offers, packages and promotions. Partner proactively and reactively with regional operations/revenue/sales/revenue leaders to review business results and identify marketing/revenue opportunities and guide marketing teams on what levers they can pull to strengthen performance. Manage annual and quarterly field marketing budgets and planning processes, including: templates, creative requests, forecasting, content collection protocols, etc. Evaluate quarterly hotel budgets and identify opportunities to dial up or down spend in order drive demand, working with finance/ops/DOSMs. Collaborate closely with Brand Marketing, Creative, Digital, Email to execute hotel, regional or collection-based marketing. Manage the communication flow for Marketing-related information between OSC and the field – and ensure accurate application and pull through at the hotel level. Reimagine field marketing calendars and monthly marketing reports including data and insights from property, regional or OSC-funded campaigns or initiatives. Serve as brand champion to field marketers and property teams (DOMs and DOSMs) on brand standards, guidelines and upcoming campaigns/initiatives. Provide property feedback loop to OSC disciplines on needed or missing marketing tools. Manage and develop a field marketing team, including conducting professional development plans leading and annual reviews. Provide leadership and guidance to on-property marketing staff (via dotted line reporting structure) and elevate marketing and brand knowledge in the field via on-boarding and on-going training Qualifications Minimum of 5 years leading field marketing teams with first-hand experience building a nascent field marketing structure – ideally with luxury or upper-upscale hotel brands Relationship-driven leader with proven success in collaborating and influencing operational, finance, sales and marketing leaders, including developing integrated plans with cross-functional counterparts. Superior time management and organizational skills, with an ability to multi-task, teach and lead teams Experience developing strategic marketing plans based on analytics/performance management and integrated execution with demonstrable results and return on investment Integrated marketing experience with an understanding of the role digital media plays in an overall marketing mix and plan. Comfortable navigating analytics across media types including in digital. Strong digital marketing background fluent in the fundamentals of Search, Paid Meta, and SEO content optimization strategies Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with experience in Adobe/Google Analytics and Koddi experience preferred.
