What you’ll do…

  • Provide strategic and tactical EHS leadership across multiple sites to drive world-class safety performance.
  • Promote a zero-injury safety culture through coaching, policy development, and employee engagement.
  • Lead a team of EHS professionals and partner with cross-functional leaders to embed safety as a business value.
  • Manage EHS compliance across OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee environmental reporting, workers’ comp management, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
  • Use Six Sigma tools and scorecards to assess EHS performance and implement improvement plans.
  • Support the evaluation of new equipment and processes for safety and compliance.
  • Drive capital planning for EHS initiatives and ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.

  • You bring 10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • You’ve led high-performing teams and implemented successful culture change initiatives.
  • You have a comprehensive understanding of EHS regulations and apply best practices with confidence.
  • You’re passionate about safety, highly collaborative, and an expert at influencing across all levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational/environmental health & safety or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • CSP or other EHS certifications are a plus.
  • Bilingual skills are also a plus.

Where you’ll work…

Located in Milwaukee’s Menomonee River Valley, Villa Palermo is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that adjoins our company headquarters. We also operate a Jefferson facility and a DSD network, giving this role broad visibility across the company.

Our operations feature an on-site bakery, robotic packaging equipment, and a 24-hour shipping and receiving facility.

When you’ll work…

The Director of EHS will primarily work during 1st shift hours but is expected to maintain visibility and engagement across all shifts to support a consistent and proactive safety culture company-wide.
