Christ the King Jesuit College Prep, through the Cristo Rey Network model, provides a college preparatory education to high school students from under resourced communities on Chicago’s West Side. At CTK, we prepare students to achieve their fullest potential through the integration of academics, work experience, extracurricular activities, and service. We are proud that, the 15 years CTK has been open, 100% of CTK graduates have been accepted to college.

Through the Corporate Work Study Program, all CTK students work 5 days per month at a leading Chicago area company. The wages students earn through their jobs fund a substantial portion of the cost of their education – making quality, college prep education possible for students who otherwise would not have access. The resulting work experience, career exploration, mentorship, and networking students gain is invaluable in positioning them to succeed in college and beyond.

Job Summary – Director of Corporate Partner Development

CTK seeks a Director of Corporate Partner Development to help grow our corporate partnerships and ensure every student has a Corporate Work Study job with a paying partner that provides meaningful work experience and exposure to opportunity. Reporting to the Vice President for Corporate Work Study, the Director will collaborate with the VP to set and execute on a strategy to increase CTK’s CWSP jobs. The Director will lead an annual jobs drive, inspiring and coordinating the efforts of the members of the CTK board, jobs committee, president, vice president, and friends of CTK in their work to connect CTK with new prospective corporate partners. The Director will cultivate connections with the greater Chicago business community to further identify prospective corporate partners. The Director will build strong relationships with prospective corporate partners with the goal of moving them from prospective to committed corporate partner.

Summary of Responsibilities

New Corporate Partner Development

The Director will meet or exceed their goals for CTK CWSP student placement and revenue through the recruitment of new corporate partners.

  • Collaborate with the VP for Corporate Work Study in developing an annual corporate partner development strategy.
  • Identify new corporate partner prospects, pitch CWSP, build interest and buy-in from prospects, solidify commitments, negotiate contract terms, and secure contracts.
  • The Director will lead an annual jobs drive, inspiring and coordinating the efforts of the members of the CTK board, jobs committee, president, vice president, and friends of CTK in their work to connect CTK with new prospective corporate partners.
  • Build strong relationships across the greater Chicago business community for the purpose of maintaining a continuous list of prospective partners.
  • Oversee the full new partner operation life cycle including onboarding partners and ensuring a smooth transition to the success and operations teams.

Corporate Partnership Renewals

Collaborate with the VP for Corporate Work Study and the Director of Student and Partner Success to meet or exceed CTK CWSP corporate partner renewal goals.

  • Maintain relationships with decision makers at corporate partners throughout the contract.
  • Work collaboratively with the VP for Corporate Work Study and Director of Student and Partner Success to make renewal requests of current partners, solidify commitments, and secure renewal agreements.

Corporate Partner Events

  • Collaborate with the VP for Corporate Work Study and Director of Student and Partner Success to develop an annual calendar of prospect and partner events.
  • Plan and execute events to attract prospective partners and familiarize them with CTK CWSP.
  • Host opportunities for prospective partners to tour and attend events at CTK.

Marketing and Communications

  • Collaborate with the VP for Corporate Work Study and CTK’s Senior Director of Marketing & Communications to develop an annual marketing and communications plan for CTK CWSP. Execute assigned areas of the plan, including but not limited to:
  • CTK CWSP website
  • CTK CWSP marketing and sales materials
  • Regularly scheduled CTK CWSP newsletter for current and prospective corporate partners.

Contract Management and Billing

  • Ensure all corporate partners have current contracts or renewal agreements on file.
  • Maintain records of current billing information and schedules for all corporate partners to ensure the operations manager has timely and accurate information for every billing cycle.
  • Work with the CWSP operations manager and VP for Corporate Work Study to track payments and follow up with corporate partners for payment as needed.

Technology

  • Serve as the lead for the sales portion of CTK’s Salesforce system, ensuring implementation and consistent use of full Salesforce functionality.
  • Develop and pull reports to provide the CTK President and Board with regular updates on both sales and renewals.

Requirements:

Qualifications

A successful candidate will possess the following knowledge skills and abilities:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • History of meeting or exceeding sales, fundraising, or other performance goals.
  • At least 5-7 years in a professional role with direct responsibility for sales, development, advancement, workforce development, or similar.
  • A strong personal drive for and proven success cultivating, closing, administering, and stewarding business, clients, development funds, or similar.
  • Persuasive communication style, with excellent written/oral communication skills.
  • Experience developing and executing marketing and communication plans and materials.
  • Passion for education and the mission of Christ the King Jesuit College Prep including CTK’s Jesuit Catholic identity and the model of the Cristo Rey Network.
  • Cultural competence in addressing complex issues and a demonstrated commitment to promoting inclusion, equity, diversity, and accessibility.
  • Strong technology skills including proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM and with MS Office Suite (excel, word, ppt) or Google Workspace (sheets, docs, slides).
  • Collaborative, flexible, creating, and entrepreneurial approach.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, attention to detail, and administrative skills
  • Flexibility to adjust hours to meet deadlines and the needs of the school, including availability
    to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed

A successful candidate will preferably possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • A background or familiarity with secondary, private, Catholic, Jesuit, and/or Cristo Rey education.
  • Demonstrated success advocating for young people from under resourced communities.
  • An existing professional network in the Chicagoland area that can serve as a foundation for identifying and building connections with prospective partners.
  • A Master’s degree, MBA, or JD.
