Wegner CPAs is partnering with local client to fill their Director of Accounting position!
This position will oversee the company’s accounting activities and cash, investment, and asset management. Supervise budget preparation and ensure accurate reporting and conformance to financial policies. This position will help further develop and coordinate the operational functions of the accounting department. The successful candidate is one who can roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
Core responsibilities:
- A Strong understanding of Accounting ERP’s and integration with other software and coordinating upgrades. A plus if proficient with industry ERP Mas2000/DM2 and PDI Enterprise. Along with other company leaders, assist in the upgrade from MAS 2000/DM2 to PDI Enterprise ERP
- Improvement of Company operating and administration systems as they relate to financial controls and reporting
- Manage and oversee daily Bank Account Balances and assist in Daily EFT/ ACH processing
- Develop new and improve existing processes for a dynamic financial model that will generate weekly reports by automating data collection and streamlining processes
- Drive and manage accounting relating to Cost of Goods Sold and Inventory
- Generate cost reports, recommendations, and financial analysis
- Study, assess and implement solutions to better comprehend member acquisition costs and lifetime value creation and execute best practices as they relate to value creation
- Preparation and oversight of timely financial reports and analysis
- Budget preparation and expense control for operations across multiple businesses
- Study, assess and implement solutions to manage and reduce around key operating expenses
- Develop and document accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Prepare capital project ROI analysis, construction budget, and update construction draw schedules
- Update & Transfer monthly finacials into Study Group’s accounting format
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience
- 6-10 years of financial experience, with strong preference given to those who have a background in Petroleum and Transportation Logistics environments
- Audit preparation experience
- Business acquisition experience
- Debt and equity funding experience
- Expert level skills in Excel
This position requires candidates to work onsite at the Waunakee location
