What you’ll do?

As a Controller / Senior General Accountant you will be responsible for both financial accounting and controlling activities across other EU Group companies. This hybrid role includes managing general ledger operations, ensuring tax and statutory compliance, and supporting financial planning and analysis to drive informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate general ledger records (accruals, prepayments, assets, payroll, treasury, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with local GAAP, group accounting standards and internal control policies.
  • Perform monthly and year-end closing, reconciliations, and group reporting.
  • Ensure VAT and tax compliance; assist in preparing tax returns and statutory financial statements.
  • Support internal and external audits, liaising with auditors, tax advisors, and banks.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, including cash flow and liquidity planning.
  • Provide financial analysis, cost monitoring, and performance insights for business partners.
  • Coordinate intercompany recharges of specific activities and reconciliations.
  • Contribute to improving financial processes, tools, and internal controls.
  • Provide necessary support to business partners, point of contact for banks, auditors, tax advisors, tax authorities and collaborate with operational teams to ensure timely support and accurate financial reporting.

This role requires close collaboration with local teams, Group Finance, and external stakeholders, offering a broad perspective over both operational finance and strategic planning.

What you’ll bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Proven knowledge of book-keeping and accounting principles, controlling, practices, laws and regulations.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial-accounting department, preferably in a multinational environment, accounting & controlling experience, as senior is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Advanced level of English language is mandatory.
  • US GAAP knowledge is a plus.
