We seek an experienced Business Controller to play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations across the company and its entities across geographies, partnering with key departments, and driving strategic decision-making. This role is perfect for a collaborative, dynamic, and results-oriented individual who thrives in an international fast-paced environment.

Main Tasks & Areas Of Responsibility

  • Business Partnering/Collaborations: Work closely with departments such as finance, accounting, operations, and sales to align financial objectives with business goals. Foster a culture of collaboration and transparency across the organization.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage the company’s budgeting and forecasting processes. Work closely with department heads to establish budgetary goals and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements to the board. Present financial performance to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and variance analysis.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control costs across the organization. Identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements while maintaining quality and maintaining compliance standards.
  • Risk Management: Assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them. Develop internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies and business plans. Provide recommendations for revenue growth, cost reduction, and operational improvements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs and financial metrics to measure the company’s performance against goals. Identify deviations and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Continuous Improvements: Stay informed about industry trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes that may affect the company’s financial operations. Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • M&A: Engage in strategic and financial due diligence efforts for potential M&A.
  • Tools & Process Improvements: Lead and participate in tools improvements to leverage the best technology to gain efficiencies and continuously automate finance processes.
  • Strategic Ad Hoc Deliverables: Support and engage the Management team in strategic activities, including financing and restructuring plans.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Proven Experience 5+ years of experience in finance and business control, with a strong background in financial performance management. Experience in the SaaS (Software as a Service) industry is highly meriting.
  • Educational Background A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Key Personality Traits Communicative, diplomatic, flexible, and strong emotional intelligence. Analytical and strategic with excellent problem-solving skills. Both are team-oriented and capable of making individual contributions. A “doer” mentality with the ability to see the bigger picture and the details.

Location:

This role is based in our Stockholm office, with a hybrid work arrangement of 2-3 days per week in the office. This provides an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative and collaborative environment.
