We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Data and Analytics Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.
  • Built effective networks both internally and externally and created opportunities for others to work collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of an Enterprise Architecture framework, e.g. TOGAF, Zachman
  • A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications.
  • Preferably with a background on banking domain.
  • Very good analysis and trouble shooting skills.
  • Self-motivated individual with proven track of contribution in organization wide initiatives.
  • Ability to recommend designs that address data localization challenges.

Requirements

Qualifications – External

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or related field.
  • Person should have more than 12+ years of experience.
  • Hands-on experience with related/complementary open-source software platforms and languages (eg Dataproc, google cloud, containers)
  • Architect and design solutions utilizing Hadoop and associated technologies (spark, airflow, ranger, Knox), with a focus on the Acceldata / Open Data Platform
  • Knowledgeable in various distributed technologies: Linux, TCP/IP, S3 Storage , Open Table Formats (DeltaLake/Iceberg)
  • Good understanding of object storage technologies is preferred.
  • Good understanding of parallel processing (Spark or other)
  • Working Knowledge in authentication, single sign on, access control lists / entitlements.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes technologies is preferred.
  • Able to understand operability (performance) reporting and propose infrastructure changes.
  • Should be able to clearly communicate ideas in technical or business terms with their peers across IT.
