Assistant Manager, Senior Art Director

Role Purpose

Capable of delivering high-quality creative work across various platforms, including ATL and BTL advertising, digital communications, and on-ground activations. You will lead the visual aspects of campaigns, ensuring they are engaging and aligned with brand objectives. Your role involves creating cohesive and impactful visuals for traditional media, digital channels, and experiential marketing, driving brand engagement and resonance with target audiences.

Key Accountability

  • Lead the creation of visually compelling assets for marketing campaigns, digital platforms, print materials, and other marketing and brand initiatives.
  • Translate creative briefs and marketing objectives into engaging visual that effectively communicate key messages and brand values.
  • Uphold and evolve the brand identity across all design touch points.
  • Ensure consistency in visual elements, including color palette, typography, imagery, and graphic elements, to maintain brand integrity and recognition.
  • Create engaging visuals and marketing materials, and optimize designs for various digital platforms, ensuring seamless integration and user engagement.
  • Develop high-quality print materials, including brochures, posters, flyers, packaging, and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and print partners to ensure accurate production and timely delivery of printed assets.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Copywriting, and Digital, to execute integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate on campaign concepts, develop visual assets, and ensure alignment with campaign objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Provide art direction and guidance to junior designers and external agencies as needed.
  • Mentor and inspire team members, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Use design as a storytelling tool to evoke emotion, convey brand narratives.
  • Infuse creativity and innovation into design solutions, pushing boundaries to differentiate the airline in the competitive marketplace.
  • Effectively communicate design concepts, ideas, and strategies to internal stakeholders, senior management, and external partners through presentations and visual mock-ups.
  • Articulate design rationale and provide persuasive arguments to support creative decisions.
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality and consistency in all design deliverables.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of design work to identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience with creating compelling messages for different target demographics across multiple platforms (in print, online, mobile, etc). Crisis communications experience a plus.
  • Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator. In Design skills are a good to have.
  • Must have a very good understanding for both website and app within travel sector.

Qualifications & Working Experience

  • Degree in Arts, majoring in graphic design or advertising with minimum 5 years of experience, with a strong and a good variety of work portfolio and having experience in airline industry & advertising would be an added advantage.
  • Diploma in Graphic Designs or Mass Communication with minimum 4 years of experience with a very strong portfolio is acceptable as well.
