Alpha Cash Product Development – Product Owner, VP

What are we looking for?
State Street Alpha Service product team is seeking a versatile individual in a Vice President role with strong product development, product life cycle management and business analysis skills for the development and support of services and product offerings within the Alpha Cash Services team. This qualified individual will develop and deliver products, business solutions, and strategies aligned with our Alpha Cash services product roadmap, will collaborate with cash product implementation and data integrations for the success in product execution and adoption. This leader will be expected to build relationships and collaborate with both business stakeholders and technology partnership order to contribute to the timely execution of long term strategic plans for building out sophisticated intra company solutions.

The successful candidate must be skilled in analyzing our complex business service flows across front, middle, and back office operating models for our Alpha Clients, with a focus on cash management and liquidity support services. They will also be driving the strategic solution design, business architecture, and business solutions/services while driving program/project execution and reporting.
What you will be responsible for?
  • Establish strong partnerships with project sponsors and stakeholders in Operations, Technology, and other product teams within State Street to influence and coordinate cross-functional business solutions and products, in support of client and business goals.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to support product demand opportunities as part of product strategy and development.
  • Design, develop, and implement client-facing products. – Drive analysis and design using Agile practices and processes, focusing on establishing a culture and process of continuous delivery. – Possess strong knowledge of front-to-back Investment management/Investment services processes and various asset classes.
  • Work with business and technology partners to establish clear connections between business goals, strategies, and the data and technology investments required to achieve them.
  • Gather business/system requirements by facilitating user/client meetings and engaging with stakeholders. Liaise with stakeholders in order to establish and document implementation requirements in relation to cash, develop “use cases” to document requirements.
  • Identify, compile, analyze, and document business requirements that accurately and thoroughly reflect business needs and changes.
  • Assist in the development the conceptual/logical data models with appropriate business contexts
  • Communicates recommendations to management/senior Alpha business leaders through effective written and oral communication.
  • Encourages a customer focused, team driven mentality, mentors and develops direct reports.

  • Proven experience with business requirements analysis to meet critical business needs, must display an ability to drive tasks through to completion.

  • Strategic thinker with strong business analysis and planning skills. Capable of identifying and interpreting wider-ranging issues: ‘Big picture’ understanding.

  • Ability to think creatively and strategically with a focus on achieving outcomes. – Experience with writing features/requirements.
  • Product Owner role experience using Agile Methodologies.
  • Proven related financial services experience. Good understanding of State Street businesses.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Operations processes and procedures and an ability to learn quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Products; MS Access, Visio; Jira, Confluence, PowerPoint. – Demonstrated excellence in business writing, development of business process flow diagrams, making comparisons regarding current and future processes, and effective communication.
Education & Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, MIS, Information Technology, or a related field of study.
  • 12+ years of experience in data analysis, Operations, or Product management.
  • Ability to write SQL code for data analysis.

Salary Range:

$115,000 – $190,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
