Job Description
This position is part of TCS IoT and Digital Engineering horizontal business unit to drive the growth of Digital and IoT services for major Oil and Gas clients in North America. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of industry experience shaping proposals, building strong client relationships, and drive solution-based sales while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create business opportunities and enhance value for Energy clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Present, promote, and sell IoT, Digital and Platform Development services and solutions to existing and prospective Oil and Gas customers – including Oil Field Services, Oil Field Service Equipment, Oil & Gas Distribution customers.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to proactively shape proposals based on customer requirements.
- Analyze the customer requirement (Proactive pitch, RFI, RFP) to arrive at the best fit / innovative solution to meet customer needs
- Engage with different sales and pre-sales teams of TCS to architect and articulate comprehensive solutions for addressing the client needs
- Provide oversight to large / strategic transformative engagements with our clients, participate in steering committees, address issues and challenges in delivery, execution, support
- Co-ordinate with external partners (where necessary) to define product leverage for client needs / fit
- Support development of sales & pre-sales pitch & value proposition and win high quality proposals with top notch brand messaging in Connected Assets, digital platforms and solutions
- Position the Unit and its Services in the Market in engagements with Analysts, Business Partners, Product Vendors, Events, Seminars etc.
- Actively drive awareness of these solutions with targeted Oil and Gas clients – tradeshows, research- led thought leadership, client roadshows and workshops, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Around 12 years of experience working with Oil & Gas customers for professional services and engineering deployments.
- Expertise in IoT platforms managing Exploration, Drilling and Production data
- Familiarity for IT/OT systems used by Oil & Gas segments such as SCADA, RTU, PLC, DCS
- Industry experience in domains such as Offshore Drilling Operations, Well Production Operations, Work & Asset Management, Field Services Management
- Strong background in problem-solving and solution design, particularly in Digital Engineering, IoT, Cloud, and Analytics, IT/OT, Edge to Cloud Architectures.
- Industry Certifications in Digital technologies (Azure, AWS, AI/ML etc.) will be advantageous
- Ability to write Point of View for Digital Solutions leveraging Predictive Analytics and Optimization models
- Consultative sales experience with advisory services and & skills for Point of View articulation at CX level
- Independently scoped and solutioned projects valued around $5-10 million in engineering services and solution sales.
- Track record of consultative, trusted relationships with strong client references over 5+ years.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering
Salary Range: $174,250-$205,000 a year
