UNDERSTANDING THE ROLE
CCS Fundraising is seeking a self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented professional to support the strategy, coordination, and execution of business development and sales enablement efforts for our Data Analytics and Systems & Change Management practices. This role will work closely with Executives and Strategy & Operations professionals across our firm, to help drive three critical components of our work:
- Partner with CCS Executives, Data Analytics and Systems & Change practice leads, and Strategy & Operations professionals across the firm to create, monitor, and implement a strategic approach to proactive business development.
- Produce compelling, consistent, creative, and professional project materials, proposals, RFP responses, and presentations.
- Partner with leadership to create, monitor, and implement activities from our Data Analytics and Systems & Change business plans.
Ideal candidates will have a sincere interest in articulating how CCS can best help nonprofits advance their mission and accelerate their fundraising efforts. The candidate should possess excellent leadership, writing, communication, research, and design skills to contribute to the development of materials and resources. Prior experience with business development, RFPs, proposals, and business planning are a plus. Prior experience with fundraising operations/CRMs, data analytics, change management also a plus.
This role requires experience managing deadline-driven projects in a fast-paced team environment. A passion for contributing to the well-being of nonprofits and mission-driven organizations is a must.

Responsibilities
Partner with CCS Executives, Data Analytics and Systems & Change practice leads and Strategy & Operations professionals across the firm to create, monitor, and implement a strategic approach to proactive business development.
- Support the strategic vision for driving new business opportunities.
- Provide oversight of daily business development activity to ensure deliverables are created and all deadlines are met.
- Research and identify new opportunities for business and market penetration.
- Advise tailored business development plans for CCS executives across the firm.
- Manage internal sales enablement initiatives including task forces, business reviews, and education on the practices.
Produce compelling, consistent, creative, and professional project materials, proposals, RFP responses, and presentations.
- Prepare for new leads in advance of sales meetings.
- Join introductory and discovery meetings, as appropriate.
- Manage follow-up and next steps for new sales opportunities in collaboration with Strategy & Operations team members across the firm.
- Write and design customized and visually appealing sales proposals, RFPs, memos, and other supporting materials in collaboration with and as a thought partner to CCS Executives and Data Analytics and Systems & Change practice leads.
- Prepare for sales meetings through presentation creation and associated materials.
- Design and recommend new and creative ways to tell the CCS story through visually compelling and easy-to-digest print, video, and web-based materials.
- Update and maintain templates and common language for business development materials.
Advise tailored business development plans for CCS executives across the firm
- Help to craft an annual, actionable business plan that drives revenue and market growth.
- Monitor strategies, tactics, and KPIs throughout the year to ensure progress toward goals.
- Manage internal reporting and dashboards.
- Prepare for quarterly meetings and bi-annual retreats through the creation of relevant business planning materials and content including analysis on progress toward goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience required (Nonprofits, Fundraising, Communications, Business). Master’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience with fundraising operations/CRMs, change management, data analytics, and prospect prioritization a plus.
- Exceptional communication, writing, and proofreading skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Creative presentation design experience.
- Advanced skills researching nonprofit organizations, potential client leads, and key contacts.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to successfully lead and manage projects from inception to conclusion
- Ability to think strategically and see the big picture while also executing tasks in a detail-oriented manner.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and self-directed behavior.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the team, clients, and staff across the firm.
- Demonstrated commitment or interest in the nonprofit sector through professional, volunteer, or personal experience.
- Prior experience with RFPs, proposals, and/or client relationship management software a plus.
- Professional demeanor.
- Ability to travel for brief periods of time may be required.
