We prioritize fostering inclusive work environments, resolving conflicts between clients and partners, and ensuring clients are adequately prepared to outsource their operations.
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Controller (Lite) to build and manage our financial operations. This role will focus on overseeing accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) at scale, managing diverse invoicing models, and leveraging bookkeeping software alongside automation tools to ensure efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate will excel in integrating disparate systems using low-code/no-code platforms, creating financial reports and dashboards, and analyzing data to maintain the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Operations Setup & Management: Design and implement scalable processes for AR/AP, handling hundreds of customers with streamlined workflows.
- Invoicing: Manage both subscription-based and one-off invoicing models, incorporating automation to reduce manual effort.
- Bookkeeping: Utilize QuickBooks (or similar software) to maintain accurate financial records, integrating it with other tools as needed.
- Transaction Management: Oversee high-volume transaction processing, leveraging automation to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- System Integration: Connect disparate financial systems (e.g., CRM, payment platforms, ERP) using low-code/no-code applications (e.g., Zapier, Make, or Airtable) to create a cohesive ecosystem.
- Automation: Identify opportunities to automate repetitive financial tasks, such as invoice generation, payment reconciliation, and data entry, to improve scalability.
- Financial Reporting: Build and maintain detailed financial reports and complex dashboards that combine data from multiple sources, using integrated systems for real-time insights.
- Data Analysis: Monitor financial data to spot negative trends, declining profitability, or anomalies, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Process Optimization: Refine financial workflows by leveraging automation and system integrations to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in financial operations, ideally managing AR/AP for a business with hundreds of customers.
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks and comfort with other bookkeeping or financial software.
- Experience integrating disparate systems using low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make, Airtable, or similar) to streamline operations.
- Demonstrated ability to implement automation for financial processes, such as invoicing or reconciliations.
- Expertise in handling both subscription and one-off invoicing models with an eye toward automation.
- Ability to process large transaction volumes efficiently, supported by automated workflows.
- Advanced skills in financial reporting and dashboard creation (e.g., Excel, BI tools like Tableau, or low-code reporting tools).
- Exceptional attention to detail with a knack for identifying trends or issues in financial data.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (preferred but not required with equivalent experience).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience scaling financial operations for a growing company using automation and integrations.
- Familiarity with additional tools like Xero, NetSuite, Power BI, or advanced low-code platforms.
- Background in identifying cost-saving opportunities or improving profitability through process automation.
