Job Title: Chief Operations Officer (Telecoms Industry)

 

Key Responsibilities:

– Manage, coordinate and supervise a large technical and field engineers

– Supervise all projects and project teams across all regions within Nigeria

– Develop strategies, design operational policies and oversee quality customer service to ensure customer retention.

– Excel in financial management and have executive-level communication and interpersonal skills to persuade and influence stakeholders.

– Provide necessary support for business development and projects implementation and efficient execution of mandates.

– Plan new effective preventive and corrective maintenance technology to enhance existing ones.

– Make strategic and timely decisions for operational activities while setting strategic goals with the management

– Conduct periodical training for the field engineers

– Lead in the emergency responses as a Site Incident Controller

– Preparations of Milestones (Gantt)

– Coordinate and synchronize all resources required for deployment and operations

– Liaise with the ESG and compliance team to manage contractors on work safety practices to ensure statutory requirements and procedures are followed

– Liaise with procurement team to improve and ensure contracts awarded are cost effective and are according to budget.

– Liaise with NOC to ensure information provided by the field engineers are accurate

– Ensure energy optimization and effective execution of new projects

– Implement new methodology controls of PPM.

– Prepare timely budgets and reports on projects and advise the management

– Analyzed market trends and accordingly develop plans to increasing brand awareness.

Qualifications & Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.

– Minimum of 15 years of experience in the telecoms industry, with a proven track record of managing large-scale technical projects and teams.

– PMP or any related field certification is preferred.

– Strong understanding of project management principles, technical operations, and business development.

– Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic plans.

– Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
