Associate Director, Market Access

The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager of CSL Behring’s São Paulo sales affiliate, as the Associate Director, Market Access, you will liaise with Market Access areas in International Markets as requested by the business, and develop Pharmacoeconomics and Value Dossier, and related tools in support to business objectives in Brazil. You will work collaboratively with internal areas (sales, marketing, and medical) to identify access hurdles and prioritize strategies and tactics to mitigate access barriers. You will develop and execute market access strategies to support key business objectives in Brazil. You will work with patient associations, government institutions, medical societies, and other stakeholders to collect information in support of the development of specific technology assessments conducted in Brazil. You will develop strategies and tactics to expand reimbursement both in the public and private markets for CSL’s product portfolio. You will demonstrate a high level of competency in product and related rare disease knowledge, as well as the Brazilian Health Market and their key players in order to be able to influence KOLs and authorizers for adoption of new CSL products. This is a hybrid role, which offers a combination of an onsite and remote work schedule.

The Role

  • Create and adapt Value Dossiers of required CSL Behring brands to the Brazilian Market and develop local tools to support strategy and implementation of Market Access strategies.
  • Develop market access strategies and plans in discussion with marketing and medical, for applicable brands, to ensure pricing and reimbursement targets for effective launch and/or access, acting also in the defense of CSL Behring products in regard to formularies.
  • Develop and implement integrated actions plans in conjunction marketing, sales and medical to promote products to auditors, authorizers and gatekeepers of formularies in general achieving inclusion of new products, working along with Medical Department for the development of new guidelines of treatment.
  • Work closely with the Sales & Marketing managers to strategically develop and implement Access Plans according to priorities set by region or/ and institutions or/and health insurances.
  • Constantly map, understand, and maintain relationship with key stakeholders and organizational structure of public and private healthcare to address business cases and studies aiming a better reimbursement flow to CSL products.
  • Comply with CRBP, ABAC, HCO and GEH policies and be a champion to identify and flag up potential issues to the company in these matters.
  • Be responsible for the Market Access plan implementation of designated geography.

Quality And Pharmacovigilance

  • Ensuring compliance with all CSL Behring BRZ and CSL global SOPs, policies and quality system requirements as appropriate to the position including:
  • Prompt reporting of all Adverse Reactions, Product Technical Complaints or Deviations according to BRZ SOPs;
  • Completion of required training and maintenance of personal training records;
  • Providing assistance as required in the event of a field action, as determined by the Recall Team;
  • Ensuring that all customer contact and activity in relation to promotion of the company’s products remains in compliance with the ANVISAs´ – Agência Nacional da Vigilância Sanitária legislation and company SOPs and policies on hospitality, donations and use of promotional materials

Your Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor´s degree. Science or mathematical university degree is valued. Administration, Health related courses, Regulatory or other related courses to Pharmaceutical Companies are also valued. Post-Graduation in Pharmaco-economic related areas is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English is required (to include fluent written, reading and speaking abilities).
  • At least 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical market either in Sales, Market Access, or Marketing positions.
  • Experience in multinational pharmaceutical company strongly preferred.
  • Preference for experience on Specialty Care/Rare Diseases/Hospital products.
  • At least 5 years of experience in use/development of Pharmaco-economic tools and models.
