Director Program Delivery

As Our Director Program Delivery, You Will

  • Provide timely and strategic advice and recommendations to the General Manager Program Performance, General Manager Operations, Executive Program Director, Deputy Director-General and Chief Biosecurity Officer and relevant Governance Boards.
  • Lead a high performing and financially sustainable workforce that demonstrates the values of the Public Service and the principles of the department.
  • Lead the Program Delivery Office, with a focus on the National Fire Ant Eradication Program (NFAEP), with potential to provide an expanded Organisational support function.
  • Providing program management methodology, discipline, and expertise to realise program outcomes and achieve program benefits.
  • Develop and maintain productive and respectful internal working relationships ensuring that departmental officers and work groups are effectively involved and communicated with, knowledge and expertise is optimised and the range of views, potential options and solutions are sought and considered.
  • Manage effective stakeholder relationships enabling productive consultation with these stakeholders that provides for successful delivery of the Program Delivery Office accountabilities.
  • Escalate emerging issues and provide high level, expert, and authoritative advice to senior management on complex Program Delivery Office issues, to ensure the achievement of the NFAEP objectives.
  • Oversee the delivery of Program Delivery Office projects artefacts and managing the Governance required to meet NFAEP objectives in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate the preparation of complex Program reports, submissions, briefing notes, presentations, and correspondence for consideration by executive management.
  • Exercise judgement, authority and high-level influence to effectively coordinate the management of divisional requirements and competing team priorities.
  • Represent the NFAEP vision and the department’s vision, values and strategic agenda with clients, stakeholders, and external organisations and other State and Commonwealth agencies.
  • Contribute to departmental resource prioritisation processes to deliver on NFAEP outcomes.
  • Ensure a culture of service delivery and high performance amongst Program Delivery Office staff, which recognises the unique contribution of the individual, encourages personal and team development, and encourages an appropriate work/life balance.

You may also have

There are no mandatory requirements for this role however, the following would be highly regarded:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role is desirable.
