You’ll collaborate with colleagues to produce high-quality videos, webinars, and other digital content. The Creative Director for the government will also oversee strategic content development and manage the government’s digital catalog and website, ensuring an optimal experience.

Ideally, you possess a blend of creative vision, technical expertise and strong project management skills in a fast-paced environment with diverse stakeholders.

Job Details / Responsibilities:

  • Location: Primarily at the client’s site in Washington DC
  • Hours:
  • Full-time 40 hours per week, with occasional night or weekend hours based on the client projects or events
  • Day-to-Day: Creative Director – Video Content
  • Working on-site in the office, you’ll work on projects covering a wide range of subjects. You will serve as the creative lead for all video projects, ensuring alignment with the agency’s programs, mission, and branding. You will conceptualize, plan, shoot and edit high-quality video series, webinars, and other multimedia content, acting as the creative lead to shape project visions and ensure alignment with program goals. You’ll collaborate with internal partners and contractors to execute engaging content while also overseeing the agency’s program’s website. Within this role you will be responsible for managing one other staff member within the team so prior management experience is preferred.
  • Day-to-Day: Creative Director – Website Maintenance
  • You will be responsible for updating the agency website that includes relevant content, managing the digital catalog of program assets for accessibility and usability, and working with external web developers to implement user-focused improvements. You will conduct usability testing and applying strategic feedback will be key to enhancing the user experience. Additionally, the role requires proficiency with the Hilltop Content Management website system (preferred), as well as expertise in producing and editing digital assets like graphics and videos. Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in video production and editing
  • Proven experience leading creative projects
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Premier, Adobe In-Design, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Acrobat
  • Skill/experience with graphic design and animation tools a plus
  • Experience managing digital media files in an organized and secure fashion
  • Ability and comfort to make multiple rounds of revisions on tight time frame
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proven experience in writing, reviewing, and editing storyboards
  • Complex problem-solving skills and strong analytical abilities
  • Experience using website content management systems to build and manage online content – adding video and photography content
  • Ability to create, edit, and manage pages and subpages of websites
  • Experience posting, linking, and embedding content online
  • Familiarity and comfort with using webinar platforms and learning management systems
  • Ability to operate effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with the Hilltop website publishing system and Elastic Search (Preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $124,159.00 – $136,210.00 per year
